Your In-Depth Evaluation
Before your consultant begins working with you to implement changes, he conducts a thorough evaluation of the practice. During this evaluation the following occurs:
- Hollander Consultants examines your statistical trends over the last several years and determines the causes of any major increases or downtrends that have occurred in your practice.
- We evaluate your staff, the placement of personnel in your office and find out from you what, if any, problems you're having with personnel.
- Your promotional activities will be reviewed from the viewpoint of what has caused growth for you in the past, what has happened to retard growth and/or cause a plateau.
- The internal and external marketing you've undertaken will be examined for effectiveness.
- We'll analyze the traffic flow of patients/clients through your office so we can isolate any "bottlenecks" or other inefficiencies.
- We go over your financial planning and find out about any problems you have with accounts receivables, payables, bookkeeping, accounting, delinquent accounts, collections over the counter, insurance billing, payroll, etc.
- We'll discuss your professional and personal goals with you. You'll have an opportunity to tell us about any other issues you're concerned about so we can address these and help you achieve personal and professional success.
Hollander Consultants Personalized Program
At the conclusion of your evaluation, Hollander Consultants will prepare a plan that is uniquely tailored to your needs. You'll have a step-by-step program that outlines the solutions to your most acute and immediate problems. You'll receive assistance from your consultant so you can get each step on the program done and the desired results achieved.
Hollander Consultants will keep you moving through your program steps, debug any problems along the way and ensure the smooth and gradient upgrading of administrative systems and staff skills. The long term program objective is to assist you in achieving the highest level of productivity possible in the most organized and cost effective manner.
Some of our clients complete their programs faster than others. There is no emphasis on speed. We have found that crowding changes into a practice faster than the staff can easily assimilate them will often cause a sense of overwhelm. After your evaluation, you will study one or more executive training courses that will teach you the essential management skills you'll need to implement your personalized program. Upon completion of the courses, you will attend a workshop covering many different topics: Job descriptions for positions in the office, hiring, bonus plans, staff contracts, office flow charts, effective recall, how to get referrals, effective means of managing staff and many other areas. These workshops are not "preprogrammed," but are tailored to the needs and wants of each office attending. Hollander Consultants Symposia
One of the most popular features of the Hollander Consultants program is the three day symposium that doctors, their spouses and staff attend. The symposia consist of seminars, conferences and workshops which cover all of the important areas of practice management and staff responsibility. Symposia are held two times per year in different parts of the U.S. This is an opportunity for you to meet Hollander Consultants clients from all over the country and engage in discussions that you'll find very beneficial. Detailed Job Descriptions and Office Policy
You'll receive Hollander Consultants Office Policy and Job Description Manual. Containing over 400 pages of information that is vital to the well-being of any practice, it has been developed and refined during the 20-plus years that Hollander Consultants has been working in the health care industry. This manual will save you hundreds and hundreds of hours of work. It represents what we know is workable, effective office policy and job descriptions and has proven over and over again to be one of the most useful tools an office can own.
Consulting and Follow-Up
Your Hollander Consultants program also provides for continuous follow-up with your consultant. Upon completion of the evaluation, the courses and workshop and with your personal step-by-step program and Office Policy and Job Description Manual in hand, your consultant is in touch with you regularly to monitor your progress and help you implement all that you've learned. This portion of the program can be likened to an apprenticeship. Your consultant is always available to help you and guide you along to ensure you get the results you intended to get when you signed up for the Hollander program. Personal Financial Plan
During this phase of the Hollander Consultants program you'll work with a financial planner whose expertise will guide you through the process of developing a plan that's right for you. Examining your current tax obligations, insurance policies, investments, debts and other matters will enable the planner to find situations where you may be overpaying or failing to reap the full benefits available to you. All important aspects of your finances will be thoroughly addressed, projections for the future will be calculated and you'll see how the plan will culminate in an advantageous outcome for you. Continuous Reevaluations
As the practice grows and changes, you'll need new evaluations.
